hey arbo, what do you think about the demons legs in the original doom? specifically the hell nobles and the demon. they dont really appear to be ungulate/digitigrade legs, they actually look like they are backwards. i recently came across a picture that shows the demon sprite being drawn over a jurassic park toy, so think it is deliberate choice, or a mistake?
AnonymousSo I found the image you were talking about and I would assume the backwards legs were indeed intentional. In fact in that first panel it already looks kinda like that with the color and shade on it. I don’t like drawing them like that though just ‘cause it looks rather awkward and clunky
It also looks cooler and faster
